Equipo de USA visita a Colombia
Bajo la coordinación del hermano Robinson Mosquera, Colombiano radicado y nacionalizado en Estados Unidos de América, un equipo de hombres de varias iglesias bautistas americanas visitó a Colombia entre el 22 y el 28 de Septiembre, con el fin de establecer vínculos de colaboración mutua entre todas las iglesias interesadas.
Esta iniciativa surgió desde el 2016, cuando un equipo de 25 hermanos y hermanas, provenientes de varias iglesias de Boston, decidieron apoyar a la Iglesia Bautista la Gracia de Dios en Medellín en la construcción de un balcón en madera, con capacidad para 150 personas.
En esa ocasión el equipo fue dirigido por el pastor Chris Bass, quien fungía como pastor de la Iglesia Redeemer Fellowship Church en Watertown, MA.
En esta ocasión el equipo contó con la participación de los pastores Steve Thiel de Christ Proclamation Church en Hartford, y el pastor B J Walters de Redeeming Grace Church en Vermont, Georgia.
Agradecemos al nuevo pastor de de la Iglesia Redeemer Fellowship Church, Erick Raymond, por su decidido apoyo a este proyecto.

Under the coordination of Brother Robinson Mosquera, a Colombian resident and nationalized in the United States of America, a team of men from several American Baptist churches visited Colombia between September 22 and 28, in order to establish collaborative links between all the interested churches.
This initiative began in 2016, when a team of 25 brothers and sisters, from several churches in Boston, decided to support the Baptist Church Grace of God in Medellin in the construction of a wooden balcony, with capacity for 150 people.
On that occasion the team was led by Pastor Chris Bass, who served as pastor of the Redeemer Fellowship Church in Watertown, MA.
This time the team counted with the participation of pastors Steve Thiel of Christ Proclamation Church in Hartford, and Pastor B J Walters of Redeeming Grace Church in Vermont, Georgia.
We thank the new pastor of the Redeemer Fellowship Church, Erick Raymond, for his strong support for this project.

Team from USA visits Colombia

Gracia de Dios, Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia
We had a wonderful day on Thursday with a new church plant in Carmen de Viboral. The pastor has only been there for about 2 weeks. He and his wife are Alirio and Deisy Correa and the name of the church is La Gracia de Dios Iglesia. Being with them was such a sweet reminder of when we launched Christ Proclamation Church. So excited to see what God is going to do through them in this place. To Him be the glory!!!
Evangelical Baptist Church in Itagui, Antioquia
Wednesday was a glorious day in Colombia. We traveled about 30 minutes from the seminary (Seminario Reformada de Latin America) to Itagui to be with Pastor Jaime Cardona and his wife Theresa and his son Pastor Juan Cardona and his wife Jasmine along with a number of the folks from their congregation. The folks at La Iglesia Baptista de Itagui are some of the most kind and gracious people that I have ever met in all the world. We enjoyed lunch together, time hearing each other’s testimonies, our kids playing soccer, hide and go seek and telephone in 2 different languages, and so many funny moments filled with hearty laughter. It truly was a joy to my heart to be with them. I also had the privilege of preaching during their evening service. I am so grateful for the universal church of Jesus Christ and the fact that we have brothers and sisters all over the world!!!
Iglesia Bíblica Reformada de Armenia, Colombia
Great time in Armenia, Colombia with Pastor Javier, his wife Rosia, his two kids and the rest of his congregation at la Iglesia Biblia Reformada de Armenia (IBRA). We had lunch with them, enjoyed conversation and an evening service together, and then they graciously hosted all of us in different homes. In the morning, we gathered for breakfast and a short devotion. It was a delightful time with brothers and sisters in Christ!
We are traveling 5 hours today to a church in Armenia, Colombia to meet with a pastor and his congregation. The roads are literally on the ridge line of a mountain with valleys on both sides that drop down hundreds of feet. The drive alone is exhilarating. And it goes without saying, but the coffee is outstanding!!!

Los pastores B J y Steve se reunieron con los pastores de la Iglesia Bautista la Gracia de Dios en Medellín, con el fin de coordinar algunas actividades conjuntas para el próximo año. La idea es ayudar a remodelar algunos edificios, y, tener un retiro con pastores de Venezuela y Colombia para profundizar en temas fundamentales de la eclesiología, animar a los pastores a realizar trabajos en cooperación con otras iglesias, procesos administrativos, recolección de fondos, entre otros
Agradecemos a las iglesias que apoyaron a este equipo para venir a Colombia, El Señor está fortaleciendo las relaciones entre muchas iglesias en Estados Unidos y Colombia.

El pastor Mateo Cruz, además de ser maestro de griego y exégesis en el Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano de la República de Bolivia, es pastor de la Iglesia Bíblica Monte de Sión en Cochabamba, Bolivia.
El pastor Cruz tiene un bachillerato en humanidades, estudios superiores de Ingeniería Eléctrica, y tiene una licenciatura en Teología del Seminario Bíblico Evangélico en la Paz, Bolivia.
Él ha sido profesor de griego en más de veinte instituciones cristianas de Bolivia. Él está casado con Ana María Davalos, quien ha sido de gran apoyo para el pastor Cruz.
El pastor Cruz es uno de los predicadores de la fe reformada más conspicuos en Bolivia.
Pastor Mateo Cruz, besides being a teacher of Greek and exegesis in the Latin American Reformed Seminary of the Republic of Bolivia, is pastor of the Monte de Sión Bible Church in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Pastor Cruz has a bachelor's degree in humanities, higher studies in Electrical Engineering, and a bachelor's degree in Theology from the Evangelical Bible Seminary in La Paz, Bolivia.
He has been a professor of Greek in more than twenty Christian institutions in Bolivia. He is married to Ana Maria Davalos, who has been a great support for Pastor Cruz.
Pastor Cruz is one of the most conspicuous preachers of the reformed faith in Bolivia

Pastor Edison Flórez is a strong collaborator of the Latin American Reformed Seminary in Santa Marta, Colombia, helping in the organization of conferences for pastors throughout the area.
Flórez is pastor of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Santa Marta.
He has a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Miami International Seminary MINTS

Julián Davey Tangarife
Julián fue uno de los más sobresalientes estudiantes del SRL el año 2014. Fue enviado por una iglesia pequeña de una ciudad de Cundinamarca, en el interior de Colombia. Terminó con el SRL su programa de Certificado en Estudios Teológicos, y regresó a trabajar en la ciudad de Bogotá, donde fue recomendado para trabajar al lado del pastor Gustavo Cubillos en la Iglesia Cristiana Sol de Justicia.
Lamentablemente el pastor Cubillos partió a la presencia del Señor y el hermano Julián fue ordenado pastor de la Iglesia local. Se conoció con una de las hijas del pastor Cubillos y unieron sus vidas en santo matrimonio. Actualmente tienen una hermosa bebé.
Oremos por su ministerio, por su familia y por la iglesia que pastorea. Que el Señor provea para las necesidades económicas y el sustento de su familia.
Julián was
one of the most outstanding students of the SRL in 2014. He was sent by a small
church in a city of Cundinamarca, in the interior of Colombia. He finished his
Certificate of Theological Studies program with the SRL and returned to work in
the city of Bogotá, where he was recommended to work alongside Pastor Gustavo
Cubillos in the Christian Church of Sol de Justicia.
Unfortunately,
Pastor Cubillos left in the presence of the Lord and Brother Julian was
ordained pastor of the local Church. He met one of the daughters of Pastor
Cubillos and they united their lives in holy matrimony. Currently they have a
beautiful baby.
Pray for
your ministry, for your family and for the church you pastor. May the Lord
provide for the economic needs and sustenance of his family.

Tiene una Licenciatura en Teología y una Maestría en estudios teológicos.
Está casado y es un apasionado con la enseñanza teológica, lo cual se deja ver en la gran aceptación que sus clases tienen entre los estudiantes del Seminario.
Pastor Pablo Prieto is the academic director of the agreement between the Latin American Reformed Seminary and the Biblical Institute of the local Church in Cali.
Prieto is one of the pastors in the Jesus Decision Reformed Baptist Church, in the city of Cali, Colombia.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and a Master's Degree in Theological Studies.
He is married and is passionate about theological teaching, which is seen in the great acceptance that his classes have among the students of the Seminary

El hermano José Ángel Cervantes es profesor de Música en el campus principal del Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano en la ciudad de Medellín.
Es mexicano, casado, y tiene estudios musicales del Instituto Pedagógico Musical "Santa Cecilia" de la ciudad de México D.F.
Fue profesor de música en México durante muchos años. Se casó con una colombiana, y ahora están radicados en la ciudad de Medellín.
Es director de canto en el culto dominical de la Iglesia Bautista Reformada la Gracia de Dios en Medellín, Colombia.
Tiene estudios teológicos básicos del Seminario Bautista de Colombia, Instituto de Expositores de John Macarthur y del Seminario Teológico Reformado.
Brother José Ángel Cervantes is Professor of Music at the main campus of the Latin American Reformed Seminary in the city of Medellín.
He is Mexican, married, and has musical studies from the Pedagogical Musical Institute "Santa Cecilia" of Mexico City D.F.
He was a music teacher in Mexico for many years. He married a Colombian woman, and now they are based in the city of Medellín.
He is a singing director at the Sunday service of the Grace Baptist Church of La Reforma de Dios in Medellín, Colombia.
He has basic theological studies from the Baptist Seminary of Colombia, the Exhibitor Institute of John Macarthur and the Reformed Theological Seminary

International Team: Hermano Reynaldo Urdaneta
El hermano Reynaldo Urdaneta estudió en el Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano, en el campus de la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia. Se graduó en nuestro programa de Licenciatura en Estudios Teológicos en el año 2016, y regresó a su país natal de Venezuela, con el fin de apoyar la labor de reforma y consolidación de la Iglesia local que lo envió a estudiar.
Actualmente está trabajando de la mano con el pastor de la Iglesia Bíblica Columna y Baluarte de la Verdad, en la ciudad de Cagua, estado Aragua, Venezuela.
Luego de terminar sus estudios en SRL contrajo matrimonio.
Oremos por la labor que realiza en su iglesia local, y oportunidades para apoyar a otras iglesias en proceso de reforma en Venezuela.
El hermano Reynaldo fue un estudiante sobresaliente.
Oremos por la situación económica de su familia, pues, están pasando muchas necesidades.
Oremos por la salud de su esposa, quien ha estado delicada de salud.
Se encuentra en embarazo, y las deficiencias en el sistema de salud, y los problemas para conseguir alimentos o medicamentos están complicando su situación.
Oremos por provisión para el pago del arriendo del apartamento, pues, a causa de las últimas medidas tomadas por el gobierno, el costo del dinero se debilitó mucho, pero los arriendos aumentaron considerablemente.
Brother Reynaldo Urdaneta studied at the Latin American Reformed Seminary, on the campus of the city of Medellin, Colombia. He graduated in our Bachelor's program in Theological Studies in 2016, and he returned to his native country of Venezuela, in order to support the work of reform and consolidation of the local Church that sent him to study.
He is currently working hand in hand with the pastor of the Biblical Church Column and Baluarte de la Verdad, in the city of Cagua, Aragua state, Venezuela.
After finishing his studies in SRL he got married.
Pray for the work he does in his local church, and opportunities to support other churches in the process of reform in Venezuela.
Brother Reynaldo was an outstanding student.
Pray for the economic situation of his family, because they are going through many needs.
Pray for the health of his wife, who has been in poor health.
She is in pregnancy, and deficiencies in the health system, and problems getting food or medication are complicating her situation.
Pray for provision for the payment of rent of the apartment, because of the latest measures taken by the government, the cost of money was greatly weakened, but the leases increased considerably.
